Cold Mountain Child - Stillness Singing
I remember seeing these dudes play in a small living room about 3 years ago in the dead of winter. The night was quiet, and the air was still. This tape reminds me a lot of that night. Subtle hooks, flowing melodies, and group raise um up harmonies. To put it in any context, Tyler Bradley sounds like a mix of Jónsi and Sufjan along the tone of Sam Beam. I hate context though, killer artwork though, a double sided 4 pager accompanies this beautiful album. Originally slated for vinyl, had to be put on the backburner when one of the members went to jail and had to use all the money to pay fines. Complete brightwest folk.
